Deviation Actions
So after some deliberation, I decided to "keep" my DeviantArt site, but I will be using it for other reasons outside of portfolio work. I am thinking of keeping my portfolio work either on my own personal website, or migrating to Behance. Keep an eye out for updates.
Here's what 2017 will bring.
Things I will Keep:
Here's what 2017 will bring.
Things I will Keep:
- All my past contest entries, for groups and otherwise
- I'm keeping the work that brought me acclaim and recognition, Natural Disasters
Things I am Deleting:
- Literally everything else
Things I will be Submitting:
- I am excited to announce that I will be opening up commissions! Keep an eye out for my pricing
- I will also be putting up for SALE my old croquis models that I used to use (and have since retired since then)
Apologies for Inactivity
Hello watchers. I wanted to say thank you for being with me for as long as you have. This is an update on my life as to why I have not submitted anything in a couple of years. For starters, I graduated college in 2015 and got a job as a full-time graphic artist/designer. Doing creative work 40 hours a week really saps your energy, and it essentially sapped up all my creative energy leaving me idea-less and uninspired to do any design work. I am a bit disappointed in myself, but I understand life happens and I hope to get back to my passion soon. In addition, some exciting news: I am now married (since August)! Very fun, but also the whole ordeal took up a lot of my attention. My husband and I spend a lot of time playing video games and caring for our two cats, Rizzo (who is mostly blind, diagnosed with retinal dysplasia) and our brand new kitten, Richard Parker (who just turned three months!). A lot of my creative energies and time aside from work stuff has been setting up and
UPDATE: Goodbye DeviantArt
I just found out about DeviantArt's agreement policy in which they can LITERALLY SELL YOUR WORK TO A THIRD PARTY SITE ROYALTY FREE
AS IN THEY OWN YOUR ART
Link SPECIFICALLY SECTION THREE READ MORE ABOUT HOW ONE ARTIST HAD THEIR ART STOLEN AND SOLD TO HOT TOPIC BY DEVIANTART HERE
THIS SH*T IS LEGAL AND I WILL NOT BE POSTING MY ART HERE ANYMORE
I will be transitioning all my work to another portfolio site, suggestions are welcome! I am currently looking into dribble, behance, and artstation. If you like my work and want to continue to follow me, keep an eye out for the announcement but in the next few weeks or so, I will be deleting everyt
Now a college graduate!
To update all my dear fellow watchers,
1) sorry for the lack of recent designs, I've been busy...
2) with school, and now I have a Bachelor's Degree!
So hopefully I can get back to designing pretty soon, I got a new fancy touch screen laptop so I'm excited for what the technology has to offer in terms of quality of fashion illustrations. But I'm not going to say goodbye to my WACOM tablet just yet!
Yours truly,
~Gloria
Feature Time!!
I got the idea from !pba-clara (https://www.deviantart.com/pba-clara)
"Rules:
1. For each of the first 10 people to comment on this journal, I will put their avatar and the 4 deviations I like most from their gallery on the list!
2. If you answer, you have to do the same in your journal, putting the tagger on the first place. The idea of this is not to get a free feature, it is to spread art around for everyone!
Well you dont have to do the second one : ) but i would appreciate it."
WHeeeeee!!
